Located in South Australia’s Adelaide Hills – “blue grass” racing country – Oakbank is home of the Oakbank Racing Club since 1876. It is also the home of jumps racing in South Australia which combines with fl at racing to make two days of thrilling racing over Easter. While in the past Oakbank has remained dormant for the remainder of the year the Club conducted a very successful prelude meeting which will continue for years to come and in addition a Christmas Twilight race meeting was held for the first time in 2010.

A number a innovative packages have been developed for patrons to attend and experience all that Oakbank has to offer. This booklet contains information about each opportunity available for patrons. So come on, join the tradition this year at Oakbank.

St Patrick's Day Races

For the first time in history, Oakbank’s prelude race meeting to the Easter Carnival will be held on St Patrick’s Day. The meeting launches the jumps racing season in South Australia, with special appearances by accomplished Irish Jockeys. The family friendly event will be a celebration of Irish culture including Irish music, dancing and amusements for the kids. A range of Irish themed hospitality packages are available for guests wishing to make the most of the trackside party.

Oakbank Easter Racing Carnival

Saturday 7 & Monday 9 April, 2012

Located in the stunning Adelaide Hills, Oakbank Racecourse is home to jumps racing in South Australia, which combines with flat racing to make two days of thrilling racing over Easter each year. The Oakbank Racing Club has held the iconic Easter Racing Carnival since 1876 – an event which attracts more than 100,000 visitors annually and qualifies as the world’s biggest picnic race meeting.

The ‘Oakbank Experience’ is unique, offering a carnival atmosphere in breathtaking surroundings. Corporate guests and groups of families and friends can enjoy numerous trackside hospitality areas, rides and amusements, an animal petting zoo, roving entertainers and of course thrilling thoroughbred racing in an idyllic country setting.

Whether it is a small group or a large number of guests requiring a private race day marquee, Oakbank can provide a package to suit your needs.
