St Patrick's Day Races

For the first time in history, Oakbank’s prelude race meeting to the Easter Carnival will be held on St Patrick’s Day. The meeting launches the jumps racing season in South Australia, with special appearances by accomplished Irish Jockeys.

The family friendly event will be a celebration of Irish culture including Irish music, dancing and amusements for the kids. A range of Irish themed hospitality packages are available for guests wishing to make the most of the trackside party.

Syndicated and small group packages

‘Luck O’ the Irish’ ($95 per person)

Everyone can do with some extra luck at the races! Located in the historic CS Hayes Bar, this area is just steps away from the Members Grandstand which overlooks the winning post.

Package from 11.30am - 5pm and includes:

— an assortment of hot and cold cocktail style food
— eight beverage vouchers per person – selection of beer, red and white wine, sparkling white wine and assorted soft drinks
— admission to the racecourse
— casual seating and cocktail tables
— race books (one between two guests), and
— TV monitors and nearby tote facilities.

A roped-off private area can be arranged for groups with a minimum of 20 guests.

‘Pot’s of Gold’ ($65 per person)

Follow the rainbow to the centre of the racecourse and you will find ten undercover shelters. These areas provide a great view of the course in the lead up to the finish line and you needn’t bring a thing.

Package from 11.30am - 5pm and includes:

— BBQ buffet style food
— cash bar facilities - selection of beer, red and white wine, sparkling white wine and assorted soft drinks
— admission to the racecourse
— private area with casual seating and undercover shade
— race books (one between two guests), and
— nearby tote facilities and views of the big screen.

Suitable for group bookings of 10-12 guests, minimum 10 guests per area.

‘Shamrock’ Grandstand Corporate Boxes ($150 per person, excluding beverages)

Treat your guests to the best seats on course! Located at the rear of the double-decker grandstand, this premium location offers a bird’s eye view of the winning post.

Package from 11.30am - 5pm and includes:

— grazing platters on arrival
— premium buffet luncheon
— admission to the racecourse
— private undercover area including tables and chairs, overlooking the winning post
— race books (one per person)
— your choice of beverage options 1 and 3 (see page 10), and
— TV monitors and tote facilities.

Minimum 12, maximum 20 guests per corporate box.

Private function packages

‘The Emerald Isle Hospitality Room’ ($95 per person)

This gem of an area is located under the Member’s Grandstand and is moments away from the winning post.

Package from 11.30am - 5pm and includes:

— an assortment of hot and cold cocktail style food
— private room including casual seating and cocktail tables
— admission to the racecourse
— race books (one between two guests)
— your choice of beverage options (see page 10), and
— TV monitors and nearby tote facilities.

Suitable for a private booking of 40 – 50 guests, minimum 40, maximum 50 guests.

Private marquees can also be arranged for a minimum of 50 guests and hospitality can
be customised to suit your needs.

General admission

Adults: $15
Pensioner Concession: $10 (upon presentation of card)
Family pass: $30 (two adults and children under 18 years)
Children 13 - 17: $5
Children under 13: FREE
Car parking: FREE

Terms and Conditions

— Gates open at 9.00am on St Patrick’s Day and 7.00am on Easter meetings
— Packages commence 11.30am and conclude at 5.00pm, unless otherwise stated
— A 15% non-refundable deposit is required upon booking for all hospitality package bookings except for the Easter Monday Young Members Marquee which requires full payment upon booking. All payments are non-refundable.
— Dietary requirements must be confirmed upon booking or confirmation of final numbers
— Tickets will be provided upon receipt of full payment – minimum five working days prior to the event
— BYO beverages are not accepted in the grandstand, marquees or hospitality areas under any circumstances
— All packages are subject to availability
