Oakbank is a carnival like no other in the world. It rivals the Melbourne Cup in size and colour and it's 70,000 strong crowd annually on Easter Monday makes it the biggest Picnic Race Meeting on Earth. Easter Saturday attracts a crowd of approximately 45,000 and sets the scene for a fantastic carnival.

Easter means Oakbank but so does March in 2009!
Oakbank Racing Club hosted over 100 guests in a marquee riverside at Pinky Flat to
launch the 2008 Oakbank Racing Season. Chairman John Glatz was impressed with the
great turnout and support despite the 43 degree heat. Guests enjoyed fine food from
Encore catering complemented by fine wines Yalumba and Fosters fine ales which will
